REPORT - 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected educational systems all together. Once again, schools closed in April 2021 due to COVID-19. The new academic session 2021-22, began on 6th April 2021 with online classes through K12 App. Few students were not able to attend the class regularly but majority of them attended the class. In May 2021 we conducted first periodic test in online mode.
Statistics
This academic year we had a total of 1916 students from Std. I to X and 358 in LKG and UKG. Total number of students 2074. We have 53 teaching staff in the school. We conducted regular professional development programme for the staff. Teachers attended 25 hours training from CBSE/ Govt. agencies and 25 hours in-house training in the year 2021-22.
SCHOOL RESULTS -2021-22
The hard work of the students under the efficient guidance of our teachers paid rich dividends in the annual results 201-22. 85 students appeared for the class X examination and all of them secured First Division. We acknowledge and appreciate the hard work done by our teachers in preparing these students for their examination.
Admissions
This year we have taken 176 admissions in classes LKG & UKG and Std. I to VIII, 221 admissions. We began classes from the month of April 2022.
Programmes
The school celebrated Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, Holy Cross Feast, Children’s Day, Christmas, Republic Day, environmental Day, Constitution Day, May Day, etc.
Activities
Extra-curricular activities are the medium for the integral developments of the students. Keeping this in mind we conducted various activities like handwriting competitions, poem recitations, calligraphy competition, Dance Competition, Fancy Dress, Essay Writing, Story writing, Rangoli Competition, Science, etc. Most of these competitions are done online mode.
Olympiad Tests & Indian Talents
The students need opportunities to express their learnings to various situations and also understand their knowledge in the context of the situation. Our students participated in Indian Talent Contest, Olympiad Test. All of them received medals, certificates and 3 students received cash award. Our School received a Shield as our school is selected as Golden school at national level in Indian Talent contest. Few students of Class X appeared for National Talent Search Examination - 2021 (NTSE) & National means Cum Merti Scholarship Scheme Examination (NMMSS) on 24th December 2020.
Digital Library
We have digitalised library, which helps the students to have easy access to the books and periodicals in the library. The purpose of doing this is to encourage our students to develop the habit of reading which is slowly reducing among the students.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected educational systems worldwide. We closed the school from 21st March 2020 as per order of the Government to avoid the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic. Annual Result (2019-20) was published in our school Website.
ONLINE CLASS
Training for online class through K12App began from 4th April 2020. An evaluation was conducted for teachers on live classes by Sr. Florine Mary, Principal and the trainer. We began the online classes on 13th April 2020. Parents and Students were satisfied with the classes. A workshop was arranged to update the teachers in K12App and online examination on 20 August 2020. Mr. Devashish Mukherjee was the resource person from Diksha Online Software Private Limited of K12App. On a trial basis to mock test was conducted so that teachers as well as students become familiar with online test. We realised that during this lockdown e-Learning systems can easily connect students and teachers via virtual classrooms.
STATISTICS
This academic year we had a total of 1704 students and 46 teaching staff in the school. There were 23 teachers in the High School,17 in the primary and 6 in the LKG-UKG section.

We acknowledge and appreciate the diligent and committed work done by our teachers in preparing the students for their examination.
Programmes
The year 2020, due to Covid-19 pandemic we incorporate more non-academic activities to virtual schooling. Dance, Poem, Speech, handwriting (English & Hindi) and Essay writing competitions were held virtually during the year on the occasions of Independence Day, Teachers’ day, Holy Cross Feast, Children’s Day, Christmas, Republic day, etc. On Children’s Day teachers prepared a short programme for the students and uploaded in the YouTube.
Covid-19 Pandemic
The spread of Covid-19 caused fear, restlessness and insecurity in many people. As the daily survival of the poor became a burning problem, St. Joseph’s School helped many needy families in and around Bettiah with provisions.
